The number of voters in the Republic of Moldova is decreasing

While the number of homeless voters and those in the Transnistrian region is increasing, the total number of voters in the Republic of Moldova is declining. These are the conclusions of the Promo-LEX representatives, who analyzed the data on the total number of voters, reports Moldova 1.

According to the document, in the State Register of Voters, over 3.2 million people with the right to vote are registered, which constitutes approximately 80% of the total number of citizens of our country.

Of the total number of registered voters, about 15% are from the Transnistrian region.

The report presented by Promo-LEX shows that for the first time after 2014 there is a decrease, which is insignificant, in the number of voters. In this regard, the association recommends the Central Electoral Commission to ensure the inclusion in the basic lists of homeless voters.
