Ukraine suggests Moldova gas import from the EU without Gazprom
Ukrtransgaz submitted an offer to the Government in connection with the delayed construction of the Ungheni-Chisinau gas pipeline. The neighboring country proposes Moldova to import natural gas from the EU without Gazprom, as well as to create its own gas reserves in the Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities, Radio Moldova reports.
Ukrtransgaz is ready to offer Moldova its underground gas storage to accumulate the necessary gas volumes for uninterrupted gas supply in the winter of 2019/2020. The Ukrainian side asserts that such an agreement does not create financial obligations for the Moldovan side.
