Romania is the main trading partner of Moldova

Moldova's exports in the first five months of this year increased by 5% against same period of 2018, exceeding 1.1 billion dollars, Radio Moldova reports.

In May, deliveries of goods declined by almost 6% against May 2018. The European Union is still the most important destination for Moldovan exports - 64%. However, the share of the community market decreased slightly compared to last year when it represented almost 68%

The share of exports to CIS countries declined from 16%  to less than 15%, while in other countries it increased, mainly due to the increase in exports to Turkey by 2.5 times.

In the first five months, imports of goods increased by 3.8% ( $ 2.36 billion).

Romania is the main trading partner of Moldova with a volume of over 650 million dollars, followed by Russia - over 400 million dollars and Germany - about 300 million.
