Reverse regime of the natural gas supply through the trans-Balkan corridor, at the last stage of execution

Starting with January 1, 2020 Moldova will be prepared to receive natural gas in reverse regime through the Transbalcanic corridor. The reverse regime of the natural gas through the transbalcan corridor is at the last stage of execution, announces S.A. MoldovaGaz. According to a statement, the largest companies of the natural gas complex conclude the reconstruction process of the main gas pipe line that will ensure the reception of natural gas in reverse regime.

"The three largest companies of the natural gas complex: SA" Moldovagaz ", SRl "Moldovatransgaz" and SRL "Tiraspoltransgaz" have performed the reconstruction works of the ŞDKRI  gas pipeline to ensure the conditions for receiving natural gas in reverse regime through SMG Causeni”, reads the press release.

The works will be completed on December 20, MoldovaGaz announces. The estimated cost of the works is 10 million lei. It will not influence the increase of tariffs for final consumers.

The technical capacity of natural gas transportation through this gas pipe line is 9 billion cubic meters. About 700 thousand consumers in Moldova will be supplied with natural gas.

Natural gas in reverse regime will be provided by Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.
