First meeting of the National Commission for Social Entrepreneurship

Today, the first meeting of the National Commission for Social Entrepreneurship was convened at the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI). At the hearing, the process of applying and receiving the files of legal entities wishing to certify themselves as social enterprises or social insertion enterprises was launched.

For 2019, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure included in its activity plan the elaboration and approval of a governmental program through which social and insertion support for social entrepreneurship will be carried out.

In the same context, MEI plans to consult all central public authorities in order to develop a national agenda for developing and encouraging social entrepreneurship. This action is aiming to strengthen the capacities of all the central authorities concerned so that efforts are mobilized and overlapping activities excluded.

The National Commission for Social Entrepreneurship is made up of 11 members: two representatives from the MEI, one representative from MSMPS, MARDM, MF and MJ at the level of the Secretary of State; a representative of the Congress of Local Authorities of Moldova and 4 representatives of non-commercial organizations carrying out social entrepreneurship activities and social enterprises, including social insertion enterprises, reads a press release issued by MEI.
