Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline will be inaugurated on Independence Day

The Iasi-Chisinau gas pipeline will be inaugurated on the Independence Day of Moldova. This was announced by Prime Minister Ion Chicu, at the beginning of the Government meeting.

"This year we have an additional reason of joy because on the eve of Independence Day of Moldova was put into operation an objective of energy infrastructure that will greatly strengthen the independence of our state. The Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline means more energy security, a real alternative for gas supply ", said Ion Chicu.

In this context, Prime Minister Ion Chicu thanked Romania for the support provided in the construction of this objective and invited his counterpart from Bucharest, Ludovic Orban to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the gas pipeline.

"Such an objective deserves a beautiful event of commissioning and on this occasion I want to announce that I have sent to the Prime Minister of Romania, Ludovic Orban, an invitation to participate in the event", said the prime minister.

We remind you that Ludovic Orban announced, on August 7, about the completion of the Iasi - Ungheni - Chisinau gas pipeline.
