Developments and prospects of the Republic of Moldova, presented at the 10-year Eastern Partnership conference

State Secretary for International Cooperation and Quality Infrastructure, Iuliana Drăgălin, participates in the conference "10 Years of Eastern Partnership: Economic Convergence and Business Opportunities", held in Prague, April 16-17, reads a press release issued by the Ministry economy.

The event focuses on the economic dimension of the Eastern Partnership (PaE) in the context of the 10th anniversary of its establishment and focuses on the processes of economic reform and integration of states and developments in EU trade. Also, the Territorial Export Conference was held, focusing on presenting the business opportunities of each PaE state to the Czech business environment.

During the event, State Secretary Iuliana Drăgălin presented the developments and prospects of the Republic of Moldova, the economic aspects of the political cooperation, as well as the impact of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (ZLSAC / DCFTA), highlighting the main developments and evolutions.

Also, the Secretary of State will have a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Eduard Muricky, in order to strengthen the cooperation relations in various fields of activity.

The conference was opened by the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrei Babiš. The event will be attended by ministers / deputy ministers of the economy from the six states and representatives of other institutions responsible for commercial-economic cooperation, as well as EU commissioners.

The Eastern Partnership aims to strengthen the political association and economic integration of six partner countries in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.

The Republic of Moldova joined the Eastern Partnership in May 2009.
