Regional Agricultural Dialogue Campaign on challenges in the activity of farmers

Lack of labor force in agriculture, reduced access to finance for farmers, low access to the markets and the lack of irrigation systems and anti-hail systems are some of the challenges faced by the agricultural producers in Moldova. These are the findings of the Regional Agricultural Dialogue Campaign that was held in several regions in Moldova from July 23 to August 9, Mesager reports.

The organizers together with a delegation of experts from Romania informed the people about capitalization of investment opportunities in agriculture. Therefore, the experts also offered solutions for agricultural sector development in several rural areas in Moldova.

" The construction of a fruit and vegetable processing plant in Cimişlia, the construction of an accumulation lake for all farmers in Causeni district, set up of a laboratory to certify the quality of agri-food products for export to the EU in the southern area of Moldova are amonfg the solutions", said Alexei Repede , president of the Association of businessmen "Moldovans from everywhere".
