Almost 1.5 billion lei planned in 2021 to combat COVID-19

Approximately 1.5 billion lei were planned in 2021 in the compulsory health insurance funds (AOAM) to combat COVID-19.

Most of it - almost 1.51 billion - will be directed from the basic fund for medical services for the diagnosis and treatment of people with COVID-19. Of this amount, about 1.14 billion lei are planned for the treatment of almost 90 thousand cases of COVID-19, 11.4 million for health care services provided by the subdivision of emergency receptions COVID - 19 (Moldexpo Sorting Center ), and 25.5 million represents the money destined for testing at COVID-19 within the specialized outpatient medical care.

Another over 412 million lei are to be allocated in the same way from the basic fund for the 100% supplement to the official salary granted to the medical staff trained in the fight against the new Coronavirus.

Also, CNAM planned this year in the framework of the prophylaxis measures five million lei to cover the costs of vaccines against COVID-19. In case of need, the company is ready to allocate for the vaccine the 10 million lei from the reserve fund, in accordance with the regulations in force.
