Fees for foreign citizens visiting Japan
Embassy of Moldova in Tokyo announces the introduction of fees for foreign citizens visiting Japan, Radio Moldova reports.
It is about a sum of 1000 yen (about ten US dollars) from every person traveling by air and on cruise, except for people exempted from tax.
According to the Embassy, this tax aims to establish a permanent source of funds to expand and to improve Japan's tourism infrastructure in an effort to turn Japan into a top tourist destination.
