The exhortation of Moldovans from the diaspora for those at home

Our countrymen from the diaspora stay home and urge the loved ones in the Republic of Moldova to respect the demands of the authorities and stay home, reports Radio Moldova.

Daria Căpăţână, is a student at one of the Universities in Denmark, and these days she stays at home and is in solidarity with the rest of the world.

"I am now in the second largest city in Denmark, in Aarhus. From March 11, the Danish authorities announced that from March 13, the quarantine status will be decreed, respectively they are on the seventh day of quarantine. Those in Denmark stay home, except for employees in important sectors, such as medicine, police, emergency services, those who ensure the smooth running of things in the context of the coronavirus epidemic. Here the necessary precautionary measures have gradually become more demanding and more severe. My advice is to take care of you and your loved ones," said Daria Capitan

Another colleague who has isolated herself is Cristina Sibov from France. For several days Cristina has been staying at home, but continues to learn remotely.

"Starting from Monday this week, I stay home, because the universities are closed for both students and staff, as well as kindergartens and schools. The whole country is obliged to submit to self-insulation measures according to the decree of March 17, self-insulation measures are mandatory until March 31. In case of unexcused exit from self-isolation you can receive a fine of up to 135 euros and even more. However, if you want to go out, you must sign a form specifying the reason for the exit, which may be a reason for health, to buy food and if you have to go to work. All these drastic measures are all to slow the spread of the virus. The university where I teach was reactive to self-isolation measures and made available to us all the necessary resources on a platform that we already use, so I remain in isolation and I urge you in Moldova to stay home,” said. Cristina Sibov.

Our co-national established in Italy, Nadejda Lazar, says that the situation there is alarming, so she recommends to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to be responsible and to comply with all the measures imposed by the authorities.

"The situation is very serious here. We do not know how long it will take, but it is dangerous, there are no masks, even in pharmacy. We do not leave the house and are not allowed. The only thing the population of the Republic of Moldova can do is to stay at home, respect hygiene and avoid contact with people in general, only in this way the situation can be managed,” said Nadejda Lazar.

TRM.MD recalls that the number of people infected worldwide with the new type of Coronavirus is constantly increasing. The number of coronaviruses globally exceeded the threshold of 244 thousand.
