Moldovan Iulian Bercu has successfully completed the ultramarathon in New Zealand

The Moldovan sportsman, Iulian Bercu, reached the finish line after running 250 kilometers, thus successfully completing the Racing The Planet ultramarathon in New Zealand. Iulian Bercu ranked 15th out of the 180 participants in the race, Moldova 1 reports.

Bercu promises to come in the next few days with new details from his adventure in New Zealand.

Within the Racing The Planet ultramarathon, Iulian Bercu competed with participants from 35 countries of the world. The first at the finish line came the runner from France.

"In those six days, more than 180 athletes learned where the Republic of Moldova is, they found out that Moldova exists, as shown by the flag of our country. Today they learned that Moldovans can run when they want to, and that we have superb places and exceptional wines," said Iulian Bercu.
