Non-resident Romanian citizens will be able to travel to Great Britain with their identity card in the first nine months of the year

Romanians who have not obtained residency status in the United Kingdom and wish to visit family or friends or for tourist purposes will be able to use their identity card as a travel document until September 30, 2021. After this date, travel in this country will be possible only with the passport, reports Moldova 1, referring to Agerpres.

Another important aspect is that of health insurance. Romanian tourists, like all those coming from EU member states, will no longer benefit from free health services during their visit to the United Kingdom and will have to obtain appropriate medical / personal travel insurance.

Over 600,000 Romanians have received permanent or temporary resident status in the United Kingdom.
