30 diaspora project proposals eligible for funding

30 project proposals have been declared eligible under the Government Program Diaspora is Successful at Home "DAR 1 + 3". They cover areas such as the protection of the environment, the economy, energy efficiency, culture, infrastructure, education and social protection. In total, 35 files were filed for funding, reads a press release issued by the Government.

The projects will be supported financially under the DAR Program, based on the formula "1 + 3": Government, diaspora, local public authority and development partners / donors.

The members of the Project Evaluation and Supervision Committee noted the increased interest of the local public administration authorities towards the "DAR 1 + 3" Program. At the same time, they expressed their gratitude to the partners involved in the realization of the projects, which have a major impact on the local socio-economic development of the Republic of Moldova.

The "DAR 1 + 3" program is foreseen for the period 2019-2025 and aims at capitalizing the human and financial potential of the diaspora in the socio-economic development of the Republic of Moldova.

For 2019, 10 million lei were allocated from the state budget for the implementation of the projects under the Government Program "DAR 1 + 3".

The Committee of Project Evaluation and Supervision within the Diaspora Succeeds at Home "DAR 1 + 3" Project is composed of representatives of the Central Public Administration, the Congress of Local Authorities of Moldova and the development partners.
