National Day of Culture to be marked in Moldova

The National Day of Culture, dedicated to the great poet Mihai Eminescu, will be marked this year by a series of cultural actions, which will take place both in Chisinau and throughout the country. The events will start on Wednesday, January 15, at 10, with flowers laid to the bust of Mihai Eminescu on the Classical Alley of Romanian Literature, followed by a recital of poets, actors and singers, exhibitions and book presentations.

On the same day, on the occasion of the National Day of Culture, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research will organize at the Organ Hall in Chisinau, the 2020 edition of the Annual Awards Gala in culture field, awarded for the most representative creations in different fields.

The National Day of Culture was established by a decision of Parliament in 2012 and aims to promote national culture, authentic cultural values, as well as personalities in culture field.
