Seven young creators became full members of UAP

Only seven young creators from the nine candidates were selected from among the full members, and another seven became trainees of the Union of Fine Artists of Moldova (UAP). The securitization procedure is long, it involves several stages, which culminated today with the meeting of the Council around the works exhibited at the "Constantin Brâncuşi" gallery, reports Moldova 1.

The youngest new member of the Union of Visual Artists, the sculptor Pavel Obreja, has seriously prepared for this important event in the life of every creator, to become part of this creative Union.

"Because it is a motivation to work harder, to put more effort, to be a member of UAP is something beautiful, it opens new horizons, opportunities, more exhibitions, you demand a workshop at the Union," says Pavel Obreja.

"I tried to join again about 15 years ago, I had become a trainee member, but I left the country, I came back and I said to finish this procedure, I passed all the stages, what will be next, I don't know", specifies Vasiluţa Vasilachi, UAP member.

For 19 years, Iurie Braşoveanu has been living in Turin, Italy, where he works as a painter and restorer. He returned home to attend a long-awaited moment.

"To this moment I went all my life and I reached a supreme moment when I will be a member of UAP, in this family with great masters from Moldova," says Iurie Braşoveanu, member of UAP, Italy.

"Artists have the chance to survive in the Republic of Moldova, I think so, because I am among the young people, I work in the specialty, I am the director and teacher at the School of Fine Arts in Falesti. I like what I do and in my free time I paint," says Damian Furdui, UAP intern.

After examining the applicants' files, the members of the Council of the Union of Visual Artists became acquainted with the works exhibited and voted for each author, taking into account certain rigors.

„Criteria based on composition, on a special style, on the presence in the cultural space. We also supported young people who were interns and now deserve to be received in the UAP as a new blood, as a new breath," said Valeria Barbas, member of the UAP Council.

"It is a difficult but pleasant procedure, because we have young and less young artists because, according to the statute, it is the free choice of artists when they want to become a full member only with one condition from UAP, to be educated, to have an artistic activity, to have professional level works," said Dumitru Bolboceanu, president of UAP.

The tenure procedure among the Union of Visual Artists is done once every two years. Currently, this Creative Association has over 470 members.
