Petre Neamţu, about the 70th anniversary

An aristocrat of the Romanian musical folklore, promoter of authentic values and supporter of the young talents he discovers and launches in the big world of popular music. We are talking about the master Petre Neamţu, the artistic director of the folk music orchestra "Folclor", who is working on rehearsals and concerts around the 70th anniversary of his birth, living in the same harmony with the splendors of the music and with the people who value his mastery and humanity, reports Moldova 1.

A collective dear to the master Petre Neamţu is the folk dance ensemble "Hora", where he started his climb in the world of popular music with the master choreographer Ion Bazatin.

"From 1970, I am in the miraculous world of folk music, in fact, with Ion Bazatin I toured all Moldova, we collected folklore and gathered from all the villages, they were in our programs, we had an extraordinary school," said the artist of the people, Petre Neamţu.

The next important step was in the Folklore Orchestra, which was activating within the national broadcaster.

Since 2006, the Folclor Orchestra has come to the friendly family of the groups from the National Philharmonic Serghei Lunchevici.

"He is a man of great humanity and culture, an aristocrat of popular music, he is so harmonious in everything he does, he is also a teacher and a man of music, but also the man of youth, he promotes young people so well, he launches them, he gives them that artistic impetus they need, and he makes them love the folk music. This is very important," said the director of the National Philharmonic, Svetlana Bivol.

An extraordinary concert dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the birth of the master Petre Neamţu will be held at the National Philharmonic "Serghei Lunchevici" on February 6, with the generic "The folklore alleviates my longing".
