Works of art from the period 1967-2017, an exhibition inaugurated in Chisinau

About 80 new works completed the funds of the National Museum of Art in Chisinau. They are presented to the public during the exhibition entitled "Acquisitions and donations, 2016-2017", Radio Moldova reports.

As stated by the general director of the museum, academician Tudor Zbîrnea, the exhibition includes a series of works that in 2016-2017 completed the patrimony of the National Museum of Art of Moldova with valuable works of painting, graphics, sculpture and decorative art nationally and abroad, made in period 1967-2017.

According to the organizers, the works are signed by both established artists and representatives of the young generation. Among the exhibited works, a large part completed the patrimony of the National Museum of Art of Moldova following the procurements made by the Commission for estimating, approving and purchasing works of art of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova. Others are donations of the authors, but also works that have been awarded in the exhibitions-competitions of the International Biennial of Painting, 2017 edition and Salons of Moldova.

The exhibition "Acquisitions and donations, 2016-2017" is open to the public at the National Museum of Art in Chisinau from August 5-31.
