Tribute to the Romanian language at the "Mihail Kogălniceanu" Literature Museum

They celebrated the Romanian language through actions of knowledge, the evocation of some personalities who fought for the scientific truth, the return home of the Latin script. At the National Museum of Literature "Mihail Kogălniceanu", the exhibition dedicated to the late linguist Valentin Mândâcanu was inaugurated, the totals of the contest "Writers from your locality" were made, but also other events meant to reveal the beauty of the Romanian language, reports Moldova 1.

The exhibition "Valentin Mândâcanu - a fearless soldier of the Romanian language" brings to light the journalistic articles, the attitudes of the distinguished linguist from 1988, when he wrote and published his top work.

Evoking the patriotic, cultural facts of the fighters for the Romanian language, the Latin script, the writer Vladimir Beşleagă, participant in the elaboration of the legislation on the functioning of languages, said:

"We are glad today that the level of expression of our population has increased enormously and in the depths of the villages, the level of utterance of the mother tongue is extraordinarily beautiful, that is the great joy," said the writer.

The launch of a virtual exhibition is part of the series of events.

"The first virtual exhibition of Valentina Rusu-Ciobanu, we are working with the National Museum of Art of Moldova, this exhibition has the title - Tribute to the Romanian language, Bessarabian writers in the work of artist Valentina Rusu-Ciobanu," said Mariana Şleahtiţchi, director of the National Museum "Mihail Kogălniceanu" literature.

The awards ceremony brought to the fore the winners of the national essay contest "Writers from your locality", who were awarded diplomas and book sets.

"The students, the high school students turned to the roots, through the most important values in some localities and the written values are the ones that remain", specified the member of the jury, Emilian Galaicu-Păun.
