Moldovan writer launches a book in memory of the young people who died in the Afghan war

Poet Calina Trtifan launched the book titled “Arta razboiului sau pauza de respiratie” in the memory of her brother who died in the Afghanistan War and other young people killed by the soviet regime. Besides the dramatic message of poetry, readers will also discover a lot of love for life and people, Moldova 1 TV reports.

Calina Trifan has always been receptive to everything that makes people's souls vibrate: pain, joy, exaltation. She dedicated this new book to her brother who has not returned home from Afghanistan.

"It is perhaps a painful subject, but as long as one remembers these young people sacrificed by the Soviet regime, they both live," said the author of the book.

The first readers of the book are usually writers and literary critics.

"It's a book about the Soviet war in Afghanistan on the one hand and probably a book about all the world wars. The book is not at all declarative, patriotic, it is about life and death, about those young people who  left and did not return", said Maria Pilchin, a literary critic.

The poet Vasile Romanciuc mentioned that, through the book " Arta razboiului sau pauza de respiratie ", Călina Trifan reads his soul somehow.

"It is a book full of love, life, because those who died at the age of 18-19 loved life,"  said Călina Trifan.

The volume " Arta razboiului sau pauza de respiratie " was published with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research under the National Book Publishing Program.
