Jubilee exhibition of the Academic High School of Fine Arts "Igor Vieru"

An incursion in the 50 activities of the Academic High School of Fine Arts "Igor Vieru" is the anniversary exhibition "Time without time". The inauguration with opening was scheduled for March 19, but due to the pandemic it was inaugurated only now, in other conditions of visit: a small number of people in the hall, hand disinfection, wearing masks, reports Moldova 1.

Before the arrival of the visitors, Florina Breazu and Inga Edu, deputy directors of the Academic High School of Fine Arts "Igor Vieru", took the last glances at the works painted with much professionalism and respect for the generation of artists who stood at the springs of the institution. It was founded in 1969, and since 1989 it has been named after the late master Igor Vieru, whose works give a special value to this panorama of creativity and the connection between generations.

"The exhibition includes works by the founders of this institution, the first teachers and works by former graduates that was formed during the 50 years. We also have the works of some of the former students who returned as teachers, such as Leonardo Guţu, Veaceslav Fisticanu, Inga Edu," mentioned Florina Breazu, deputy director, "Igor Vieru" High School of Fine Arts.

"It is a dream come true for me, an honor to be in high school and as a deputy principal and it is a mission for me to promote this unique high school in the republic. It trains and promotes, increases the talents from small children," said Inga Edu, deputy director "Igor Vieru" High School of Fine Arts.

The exhibition displays 107 works: painting, graphics, sculpture, decorative art. In this perpetuation of the memory and talent of some great masters, the plastic artist Gheorghe Oprea revisited a sculpture with his face, made during his student years by a late colleague Ion Guţu.

Some of the exhibited works are from the patrimony of the National Art Museum of Moldova, others - from the private collections of artists. An occasion of pride is the precious editorial event, the launch of the catalog, entitled as well as the exhibition "Time without time".

"Time, in general, has a duration and this duration through the exhibition we tried to cancel, that is to present artists who worked 50 years ago and artists who work today. We united time and created this name of "Time without time", mentioned Florina Breazu, the curator of the Exhibition.

The exhibition realized in collaboration with the Union of Fine Artists will take place at the "Constantin Brâncuşi" gallery until July 12.
