Exhibition of authentic carpets in Chisinau
An exhibition of authentic carpets included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity is hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
The exhibition takes place in the context of the agenda of actions on the celebration of the 29th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Moldova but also of the High Level Meeting dedicated to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women.
In the opening of the event, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oleg Ţulea, thanked the diplomatic corps for active participation in the cultural projects carried out by the ministry on the occasion of Independence Day and the national holiday "Our Romanian Language".
The minister also awarded the "Diplomatic Merit" and honorary diplomas to diplomats from the ministry and diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, for professional merits in the period since the beginning of the pandemic crisis.
The inauguration was also attended by the popular craftsman Ecaterina Popescu, the collector and holder of the Guinness record Petru Costin and the master in art Mihai Potârniche.
