Even if some of the events take place online, participants of different ages discover, at the same time, personal emotions and feelings, but also of the whole nation, reports Moldova 1.

"Grigore Vieru - poet of the nation" is the generic of the poetry recital held online by the students of the "Grigore Vieru" school.

The students, together with the teachers, prepared with a lot of inspiration, love and respect for the spiritual patron of the institution, Grigore Vieru, selected poems for children, but also about the dramas of the nation.

Adults are also passionate about Vierean poetry. Tatiana Gheiceanu from the National Library recited one of the last poems of Grigore Vieru saddened by the departure of Moldovans to the wide world.

"I like Grigore Vieru's poetry because it is close to us, Mother, Fatherland, country, love of nation," said Tatiana Gheiceanu.

These and other landmarks of the creation of the late poet are discovered in the exhibition "Grigore Vieru, the poet of the hurried century" inaugurated at the National Library.

"We showcase some of the publications of the National Library, which reflect the poet's work, especially the children's book, starting with Albinuţa and ending with the last published books. Likewise, in the shop windows, we find the collection of old and rare books, the first debut book," said Elena Pintilei, director of the National Library.

The books were selected by the organizer of the exhibition Rodica Baleanu, who always has great emotions.

"I feel an enormous pride because I get my hands on the first volumes, rare editions and when you have the opportunity to open, to read, you feel Grigore Vieru as part of childhood, part of our ongoing struggle for a place under the Sun," said Rodica Băleanu, exhibition organizer.

Grigore Vieru was born on February 14, 1935 in Pererata, Briceni. On Sunday, at the bust of the poet from the Alley of Classics of Romanian Literature, admirers of his creation will gather to pay homage to him, recite verses and light a candle in memory of the late poet who passed away in eternity on January 18, 2009.
