The bio bibliography of the linguist Nicolae Mătcaş was launched

The man endowed with the grace of an apostle who preached the love for the Romanian language and worked tirelessly to plant in the souls of the disciples, of all people the seeds of truth and wisdom. There are opinions from the Bio Bibliography "Nicolae Mătcaş: Waste and Measure", published on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the birth of the distinguished linguist, teacher, poet, statesman - Nicolae Mătcaş. The launch took place online, Moldova 1 reports.

The volume is based on the bio bibliography composed a decade ago by the kind-hearted Maria Cudlenco, the director of the library in the native village of Nicolae Mătcaş -Crihana Veche, Cahul. The current edition has been completed with over 500 new sources published in recent years.

"Our bibliographic approach highlights a database about the life, activity and contributions of the protagonist. We have a small corpus of poetry because he is still a poet, then the bibliographic corpus goes," says Lidia Kulikovski, collection coordinator," Bibliografica ".

"It actually contains not only this book that we can hold in our hands, but also a DVD that contains several speeches by the professor. This volume also has an electronic version in order to be able to connect with all the sources that bear the signature of Professor Nicolae Mătcaş," said Elena Ungureanu, author, doctor of philology.

The volume was elaborated within the Studies and research Section of the Municipal Library "Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu".

Present at the launch in the virtual environment, the distinguished professor Nicolae Mătcaş expressed gratitude to all those who worked on bio bibliography, but, in particular, was delighted to see many of his former disciples, today accomplished people who give continuity to his ideals. Bio bibliography can be found in all branches of the Municipal Library "Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu".
